TRANS LOVE PAINTING: PROMO
Our Trans LOVE Painting was first created during a gala fundraiser event for PROMO, Missouri’s statewide LGBTQ+ public policy and advocacy organization. It was further enhanced with positive affirmations for the Trans and non-binary communities during the Tower Grove Pride Festival in September 2024!
“My home state of Missouri is considered “ground zero” for anti-trans legislation, with more bills targeting transgender citizens proposed in the first three weeks of January 2024 than any other state. But the power of love and community perseveres even in the face of adversity. As part of our mission to bring LOVE murals to all 50 states and beyond, we collectively painted LOVE in trans pride colors at PROMO’s Urbanaire and at Tower Grove Pride.” - Lisa Marie

LOUIS – Lisa Marie Thalhammer is a St. Louis native and award-winning artist behind the new mural in The Grove showcasing the word “LOVE.” Thalhammer will be hosting a live painting for a LGBTQ+ rights fundraiser Saturday, September 7. The event will feature local drag performers, St. Louis’s top female DJ and more. URBANAIRE Saturday, September 7 from 5:30-10 p.m. The Smith in The Moto Museum
