Team LOVE!
Love flows through us, connecting each other and taking many forms, as do families. When love is brave it does not hide or hunger, it does not fight or flight. It gets steady and stays joyful. It listens and communicates connecting with empathy and understanding. When we join up in collective actions and express love to our communities, with our families and for ourselves, we stand strong and create Team LOVE.
There are so many incredible local organizations across this country, bringing people together to advocate for love and LGBTQ+ families. PROMO in my home state of Missouri is one of them. A few months ago I was inspired by their love letter writing campaign, encouraging our senator to vote in favor of the Respect for Marriage Act. This action along with many others across our country collectively, demonstrates what a brave Team LOVE looks like! Individual actions joining together to create a beautiful ripple effect and a win for love and acceptance!
