ART SALES ASSOCIATE

Virtual position

Mission & Purpose: Help the studio maintain timely correspondence with potential customers and clients.

Why:  Increase revenue and capacity to produce a thriving expansive creative art studio. 

Ideal Candidates share the artist’s values and have a spirit of advocacy. They have a positive upbeat attitude, the ability to listen, and engage productively in conversations with clients and art collectors.

Past experience:  3+ years in sales or retail experience.

Pay range:  Base rate + commission on sales. 

Job duties include:

  • Written conversations with customers and clients via social media, email or text.

  • Follow sales scripts and methodology.

  • Helping customers find the right artwork.

  • Closing sales and processing payments.

  • Gathering information about larger possible mural and art projects.

  • Scheduling zoom calls with the Artist.

  • Keeping an account of conversation metrics and sales.

  • Mandatory team zoom meetings.

Tech requirements:

  • Meta including Facebook & Instagram

  • Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Google Docs, Google Sheets

  • Acuity Scheduling

  • Paypal, Venmo

Skills include: 

  • Great listener and communicator.

  • Personable, likable,  respectful and enjoys helping people.

  • The ability to follow directions and respond intuitively.  

  • Good spelling and grammar. 

  • Able to hold multiple text message conversations simultaneously.

  • Self motivated, consistent and reliable.  

Communications Coordinator

Virtual position - Paid Internship

Mission & Purpose:  Help implement communication projects and strategies.

Why:  Maintain consistent communication with our community and grow the art studio’s outreach to new audiences. 

Ideal Candidates share the artist’s values and have a spirit of advocacy. They have excellent communication skills, can tell inspirational stories and convey the message of the artworks. 

Education:  Bachelor’s Degree in Art History, Journalism, Marketing, Arts Management, or equitable experience preferred. 

Pay range:  $18-$25 dollars per hour, based on experience. 

Hours:  Flexible, part-time and/or full-time contractor position, primarily weekday with occasional weekend and evening hours.

Job duties include:

  • Communicate the meaning and story behind the murals and artwork. 

  • Manage the communications calendar. 

  • Draft written copy. 

  • Update website.

  • Draft email newsletters.

  • Social media content creation, post reels and photo carousels.

  • Communicate with the press, draft press releases and develop media contacts. 

  • Mandatory team zoom meetings.

Tech requirements:  

  • Meta including Facebook & Instagram

  • Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Google Docs, Google Sheets

  • Squarespace website updates

  • Email campaign creation

Skills include: 

  • Strong written communication skills. 

  • Ability to create passionate and inspirational messaging.

  • Excellent editing and proofreading skills.

  • Organized and attention to detail.

  • Knowledge of social media, website and google business metrics. 

  • Ability to foster genuine relationships and work together on a team. 

ART STUDIO ASSISTANT

In person positions - St. Louis Missouri and Washington DC locations

Mission & Purpose:  Assist with art studio operations and artwork production. 

Why:  Grow the capacity for artwork production and alleviate the workload of the Artist.  

Ideal Candidates share the artist’s values and have a spirit of advocacy. They have excellent organizational, art installation, painting and craft skills. 

Education:  Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts or equitable experience required. 

Pay range:  $18 -$25 per hour 

Job duties include:

  • Manage artwork inventory lists.

  • Order prints and supplies.

  • Pack and ship artwork.

  • Exhibition artwork installation. 

  • Prepping art canvases and mural walls. 

  • Work on creative projects as directed.

  • Regular art studio maintenance. 

  • Site set/clean up, washing brushes, etc.

  • Merchandise creation and management.

Tech requirements:

  • Squarespace website updates

  • Artwork Archive Software

  • Iphone photography and Photoshop

  • Printful 

Skills include: 

  • Craftsmanship and aesthetics
